Durdle Door, a world famous geological wonder is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. Durdle Door is a private property but is open to public. The magnificent Durdle Door arch and beach is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site
I recently took this day tour. It was absolutely fantastic, a stunning place. The scenery is stunning and well worth a visit. The weather was beautiful which made things even better.
I think it is the most beautiful place to visit in Southern part of England. We first headed towards the natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast in Durdle Door. The journey time to this beautiful arch was around two and half hour from London. Once we reached there we walked down the top cliff to the steep side of the beach.
We reached near the impressive natural arch of Durdle Door which was formed due to the effect of the erosive power of the sea on the vertical layers of different types of rock.
Durdle Door has a sloping beach for bathing or snorkeling from, caves and exciting rock strata. A nice place to have picnic, sunbathe, walk through the wonderful coastline or can go for swimming.
After the sightseeing in Durdle Door we returned towards our remaining journey on Bournemouth which was approximately 1 hour journey. Once we reached BOURNEMOUTH, We were amazed to see the sandy beach, Bournemouth pier and many water sports.
There is certainly no shortage of things to do when you visit the place. We got ample amount of time to enjoy, advent and relax. We departed from there at around 6:00PM and begin our return journey to London.
