Drayton Manor Theme Park, Mile Oak, England

Drayton Manor is a theme park resort and zoo in the grounds of the former Drayton Manor, in Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire, England, UK. The park covers 280 acres of which about 113 acres are in use and hosts about 1.5 million people each year. It is home to a variety of exciting attractions with roller coasters, zoo and Thomas Land.

We went purely for Thomas Land as my friend’s 4 year old daughter is a big fan. So first we ventured into Thomas land. It was very busy because of school holidays. Queues for Thomas land was longer than we expected. We queued for the runaway train and it took us more than an hour.

Play areas were great for the kids to carry on playing while we sat and had our lunch. Even the dinosaur area was good as kids always obsessed with them. After that, we wandered over to the zoo.

We decided to walk to the far end of the park and work our way back but it’s not that big! So we got in a queue for our first ride. I went for the Stand-up roller coaster. It was really awesome, definitely worth queuing for but the queue also for this ride wasn’t very long.

The rest of the day was spent hanging around waiting for the kids to enjoy their rides.

I think it is a great place to visit especially with kids. Also it is value for money as it is a theme park and zoo in one.
